The Barn’s Recreational League is a beginner’s course that provides players who are new to volleyball with the fundamental skills of the game. Players will learn serving, passing, setting, and hitting. The Rec League also incorporates game play over the 8 week league. The Rec League is ran by experienced coaches with the support of junior coaches as assistants. The Rec League trains twice a week for 1 hour.
East Side Blaze Academy is designed for players who have experience with school or rec league volleyball. This is a fundamentals, building block league that introduces boys and girls to competitive volleyball with weekly practices and cross-club tournament. Players will be coached by experienced East Side Blaze coaches and club alumni. The Academy includes two 1.5 hour practices per week at the Barney Family Sports Complex from January to May. The Academy typically holds practices from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Days and Times of sessions are subject to change based on court availability. The cost of the Academy is $800 for the season, which can be made in monthly installments.

The Barn’s Volleyball Summer Camps range from Beginner 4 day camps, High School Camp, and Competitive Clinics. Players who are new to volleyball should start with the 4-day camp before participating in the Clinic. Clinic is an intermediate clinic for players with some school or club level experience. At the Clinic, experienced club volleyball coaches from East Side Blaze volleyball club will teach fundamental skills with an emphasis on game-like play to reinforce those skills. The Clinic is a 4 week course that meets twice a week for an hour and 15 minutes. High School Camp is geared to keep girls skills up during the summer it will have some coaching but will have a lot of open play which is ran by the Eastmark, Ben Franklin, and Higley High School Coaches.
East Side Blaze (ESB) is the preferred volleyball club for the Barney Family Sports Complex. ESB is a competitive club where players will receive the best instruction from experienced volleyball coaches. The coaching staff includes local high school and junior high coaches. ESB is committed to developing some of the best volleyball players in the valley through competition in national volleyball tournaments. ESB has both local teams and travel teams. Club volleyball is an investment, not a recreational league. Play at local and national tournaments will be determined by a number of factors, including practice performance, attitude, and commitment. The Arizona Region Girls Volleyball Club season starts in October with open gyms as evaluations. Try-outs for teams are in November and the season concludes at the beginning on July with the USAV Junior National Championship or AAU National Championship.
